Dave’s industry experience has covered everything from hog purchasing and marketing to contract negotiation and open market sales. He started his career at Heinhold hog markets, working there from 1983 to 1986, then becoming a market manager for IBP hog market. After 2 years with IBP, he went to work for Farmland Foods as a market manager and regional buyer. In 1999, he joined Cargill Pork as a regional manager and contract administrator.

Dave joined the Partners for Production Agriculture team in 2015. As Director of Marketing, Dave leverages over 30 years of experience to assist clients in the development, negotiation, and management of successful marketing programs.

Dave has been a livestock auctioneer since 1988 and has traveled to 10 states to run sales. He lives in eastern Iowa and owns and operates a 25 head cow-calf operation with his wife Tami and son Garrett.
